Celebrating Identity Through Cuisine!

Cuisine, with its spices, flavours, and recipes, reveals the identity of a person and the traditions of a nation. Recently, at Catholic High School in Sarajevo, a special cooking Masterclass was held. Bosnian youth and migrant youth from Syria, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, residing in the Safe House run by JRS BiH, participated.

The goals?

Share traditional recipes from their countries.
Create opportunities for young people from different cultures to meet, breaking down fears and prejudices.

The Masterclass was led in solidarity by the famous Bosnian chef Miran Karić, who guided the youth through the entire process of preparing traditional dishes.

"Cooking is an international language; it doesn't know borders, like love!" says Miran.
